Drink Lab Wins Best Cocktail & Spirits Website – Australian Enterprise Awards 2025

Well, would you look at that, my little side project Drink Lab just got crowned Best Cocktail & Spirits Website in the 2025 Australian Enterprise Awards!
What started as a way to help people craft cocktails without needing a PhD in mixology has turned into an award-winning platform. Not bad for something that began as a passion project fueled by a love of good drinks and a desire to make bartending a little less intimidating.

Drink Lab is all about helping anyone, from the “I only own two glasses” crowd to the “check out my custom bar cart” types, create killer cocktails at home. Whether you’re shaking up a classic, hunting for something fresh and exciting, or just figuring out how to use that bottle of liqueur you bought on a whim, we’ve got you covered. Apparently, this whole “easy-to-follow recipes and quality content” thing caught the attention of the judges, who handed us the top prize for innovation and service excellence. Who knew being helpful and mildly obsessed with cocktails could land an award?

And since I clearly can’t stop myself from going all-in on cocktails, let’s talk about my book, Cheers Mate! It’s the ultimate home bartender’s guide, packed with everything from timeless classics to bold new concoctions you didn’t know you needed. Whether you want to wow your friends or just make yourself something fancy after a long day, this book will have you slinging drinks like a pro in no time.
